It is true that I only want to show off to women.
      Women alone stir my imagination.

Recent guests on Woman-Stirred Radio

Sharon Rudahl, author of A Dangerous Woman: The Graphic Biography of Emma Goldman, visited Woman-Stirred Radio on November 29th.

Goldman was a beloved but vilified activist for equality, peace, reproductive rights, feminism, and workers rights. She came to America in the late-19th century, settled in New York City and immersed herself in the immigrant experience. She was incarcerated at least three times: for fighting the draft during WWI, teaching birth control, and inciting a riot.

"Red Emma" was a social activist who never gave up, or stood down, when confronted with injustice and oppression.

Graphic artist Sharon Rudahl lives in Hollywood, CA. Her work includes Wobblies!: A Graphic History, and her work has can be found in Marvel Comics, and many underground newspapers and magazines.

Sharon's enthusiasm, intelligence and sense of humor was delightful!
