"Catie Curtis has a slightly husky alto, a warm, cajoling weapon she uses to deliver lyrics brimming with feeling" - Time Out NY

Catie Curtis delivers her most personal effort to date with Long Night Moon. The album features the track People Look Around for which Curtis (along with co-writer Mark Erelli) was honored with the Grand Prize in this year's International Songwriting Competition (out of 15,000 entries from 82 countries). People Look Around addresses the human toll and the divisive political landscape that arose in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Curtis' richly textured voice continues to shine on this new body of work which addresses themes of waiting, questioning, & reconnecting. The songs on Long Night Moon were written at the time when Curtis first became a parent. "Becoming a parent has made me more aware of and invested in the world my children will inherit."

Please join Catie as she celebrates the release of her new album Long Night Moon with two shows at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse!
